He will report to Are Media\u2019s General Manager of Luxury, Nicky Briger.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">David will work closely with the broader luxury and travel teams to build out new video and event offerings to elevate\u00a0<i>Gourmet Traveller<\/i>\u2019s role as the authority in Australia\u2019s premium food and travel space.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">With a track record spanning two decades at the forefront of high-end media, David brings expertise in building premium audiences, leading creative teams, and delivering omnichannel content that inspires both readers and advertisers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Most recently, as Managing Editor at\u00a0<i>The Local Project<\/i>, David scaled multi-platform storytelling across print, digital, video, and social, launched new lifestyle and real estate platforms, and drove significant commercial growth. His 15-year tenure as Editor-in-Chief of\u00a0<i>WISH<\/i>\u00a0at\u00a0<i>The Australian<\/i>\u00a0cemented his reputation for blending editorial excellence with brand-building, cultivating deep relationships with luxury brands.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Throughout his career David has held senior positions across\u00a0<i>The Australian Financial Review and The Sydney Morning Herald,\u00a0<\/i>has written for\u00a0<i>Belle,<\/i>\u00a0<i>Vogue Living<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>Qantas Magazine<\/i>, and is a published author of four books.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Nicky Briger said: \u201cI am thrilled to welcome David to Are Media.
